Here and there…everywhere!

Woah. I’ve been (more than) a little MIA. Don’t worry, you can catch up here:

I’ve been working the past few months in Opio, France, at CREACTIVE by Cirque du Soleil. I got to make a whole bunch of sweet masks:

And I tried crazy s#$% like acrowall and acrobungee:

Third Time’s the Charm!

Well, hello there. I’m back from Seattle–from performing in my third Moisture Festival! This year I presented my “Clockwork Chameleon” static trapeze act (see the new trailer and pics here). I am always delighted to perform in Seattle, meeting exciting new people and getting to know their vibrant circus community. This year I also had the pleasure of making a trip north to Bellingham to visit my friend PJ Perry and making the acquaintance of the excellent Bellingham Circus Guild.

Illuminescent Design sponsored this glorious new costume:

And here some fun pics from the festival itself (I got to perform on the same stage as Andrey Moraru–whaaaat!):

Hmm…I guess it’s winter now.

Well, it’s not even Thanksgiving and we already had a snowstorm and now it’s wretchedly cold. At least I get to use all my colorful socks and legwarmers during warm-up and stretching now.

Let’s see…October flew by! I did a challenging, but awesome gig for Acrobatica Infiniti at Elgin’s Nightmare on Chicago Street. It was intense what with the wind, the cold, the helicopters whirring by overhead and the fact that I had to perform my (static) act three times! It went well, though, and there were some great pics:

I also taught an intensive static trapeze workshop at Des Moines’ Iowa Fly Girl Aerial Arts Academy on Halloween weekend and performed with Misfit Cabaret.

The highlight of November was performing triple trapeze with the incomparable Catherine Jett and Kae Devyn. We had such a hilarious and amazing time working together, and we put together this act in just under a month!

Woah…it’s already September.

Wow, time flies. I can’t believe it’s already fall. Well, here’s a little recap for you:

Aerial Expo in Des Moines was a blast, and I’m looking forward to performing at their Misfit Cabaret on Halloween and teaching a static trapeze intensive workshop. Here is a shot from the Aerial Expo performance; it was sort of unusual lighting, but I kind of like it!

At the end of August, I performed my single-point trapeze act as Catwoman and my clown dance act as Gir for Acrobatica Infiniti, which is always fun:

Last, but not lease, at the beginning of September I performed at El Circo Cheapo Cabaret, which always yields great photos and video! Here are a couple of my favorites, but you can view more in the photo gallery.

Finally, Chicago’s dear Aloft Loft has found a new home, but needs help funding the remodeling and rigging of our new space! Check out the Indiegogo campaign. 🙂

Phew! That was intense. :)

A couple weeks ago, I performed at Denver’s Aerial Acrobatic Arts Festival and was honored to receive the Audience Choice Award. It was an incredible experience: stressful, certainly, but also encouraging and educational. I met some really lovely the people, and I hope our paths will cross again.

In just under two weeks, I will be teaching and performing at the Aerial Expo in Des Moines. Really looking forward to it!

…and at the end of this month, I will be returning to Uptown Underground with Acrobatica Infiniti as Catwoman for my single-point act and Gir (from Invader Zim) for some dancing shenanigans. 😀

Summer Shenanigans

Lots of things coming up! June wrapped up with my debut performance of my new (single-point) trapeze act at Uptown Underground with Acrobatica Infiniti:

I also bounced around in dance piece as Gir from Invader Zim. Much hilarity ensued. 😀

In just two weeks I’ll head off to Denver to perform in the Aerial Acrobatic Arts Festival, and in August I’ll be teaching and performing at the Aerial Expo in Des Moines and performing again for Acrobatica Infiniti at Uptown Underground at the end of the month. Busy a bee is me!
